Puttur: One seriously injured in auto-rickshaw-crane collision

Puttur, Jun 30: An auto-rickshaw driver was seriously injured and a passenger woman also suffered injuries in an accident that occurred between an auto-rickshaw and a crane at Thenkila on Mani-Mysuru national highway on Thursday.

The crane crashed onto the auto-rickshaw in the rear. The auto-rickshaw reportedly tilted and fell on the road. The auto-rickshaw was carrying the woman passenger from Dharbe to Manjalpadpu.

The seriously injured auto-rickshaw driver was admitted to Mangaluru hospital. The woman passenger is admitted to a private hospital in Puttur.

Puttur traffic police have registered a case in this connection.
