Kundapur: Building of Kavadi school on verge of celebrating centenary collapses

Kundapur, Jun 30: The library building of Kavady government higher primary school under the limits of Vaddarse gram panchayat collapsed on the night of Wednesday due to heavy rain causing a loss of lac of rupees.

One classroom of the school is in dilapidated condition. The roof collapsed and the walls also cracked. Students used to read books sitting in the very library room which has collapsed now. As the building fell down in the night, a major tragedy was averted.

Locals say that the collapsed part of the building should be immediately repaired. Otherwise there is a chance that other parts of the building may also get destroyed due to heavy winds and rain.

Head teacher informed the concerned departments. Village accountant Vijay visited the spot.
