DKS grateful for overwhelming response to Brand Bengaluru with 70k suggestions

Bengaluru, Aug 18: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar has expressed his gratitude to the people of the State in general and citizens of Bengaluru in particular, for their overwhelming response in giving suggestions to the Brand Bengaluru Concept, which has elicited 70,000 suggestions.

In a statement, Shivakumar, who is also the Bengaluru Development Minister said: "I am elated and have no words to thank my people for their overwhelming response to my call to give suggestions for my dream project Brand Bengaluru. People's participation is really admirable and adorable.’’

"We have received as many as 70,000 suggestions from public on seven vital issues pertaining to Brand Bengaluru. I am personally looking into them and evaluating the practicality of their implementation,’’ he said.

The deputy chief minister said:"We have asked the nodal agencies, which have been constituted, and stakeholders, who have been appointed, to examine the viability to translate the cardinal slogans - "Bengaluru towards Progress, People towards Peace and Tranquility - into a reality.’’

Shivakumar asked the nodal agencies to collate the suggestions and submit a report soon.
