Karkala, Aug 19: Sunil Kumar, MLA of Karkala submitted an appeal to the deputy commissioner to announce a holiday on the occasion of Nagara Panchami.

As Nagara Panchami is an important and special festival for Tuluvas, Sunil Kumar placed an appeal before the deputy commissioner to announce a holiday for all schools and colleges of the twin-districts on August 21.

Hence, the Hindu families in Udupi and Dakshina-Kannada can visit Naga Bhana and offer prayers.
