Mangaluru: Inauguration of P M Poshan – Mid Day Meal Scheme for Dakshina Kannada dist held

Mangaluru, Aug 20: The P M Poshan – Mid Day Meal Scheme for the Dakshina Kannada District was inaugurated on August 18 at 11:30 AM. The inauguration took place at Government High School Nalyapadavu, Shakthinagar, Mangaluru. The event was presided over by Anand, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat. Mangaluru South Constituency MLA Vedavyasa Kamath inaugurated the scheme, while DDPI Dayananda welcomed the gathering.



H Eshwara, Block Education Officer of Mangaluru South, gave the introductory address. Former mayors Premanand Shetty and Diwakar Pandeshwar, Local corporator Vanitha Prasad, corporator of Ward 32 Shakila Kava, Padavu Friends Club president Kushal Kumar, Vidya Devike Charitable Trust president Devananda, GPUC principal Jayananda Suvarna, headmistress of the school Vijaya Kumari, SDMC member Ashok Naik, DK ZP Kuvempu Model Higher Primary School in-charge HM Dakshayani, SDMC members, parents, teachers, and students were also present at the occasion.

Eggs and Chikki were distributed to the students of the school, and the Government's program of distributing Shoes and Socks was also carried out. District Akshara Dashoha Officer Laxminarayan Bhat proposed a vote of thanks. The block resource coordinator, Prashanth, compered the program.
