Mumbai: International cultural fest held at Al Qusais

Mumbai, Sep 14: International Cultural Fest Council of India and Sandhya Creations Event Network team UAE held International cultural fest under the cooperation of Channapatna Kalpashree arts organization at Fortune Babal Banquet hall, Al Qusais on Wednesday evening, September 13.

Karnataka City-GST joint commissioner Dr S Ramanuja inaugurated the programme. ICFCI president, engineer K P Manjunath Sagar welcomed and gave an introductory address saying that 41 International cultural fests were held in 33 countries since the year 2004.

India Athletic Federation president Dr K B Nagoor Bijapur presided over the programme. Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha president Sarvothama Shetty was the chief guest. Retired IAS officer Dr D S Vishwanath, Bahrain Kannada Sangha former president Rajkumar, Sent president Shodhanprasad Attavar and Channapatna Kalpashree director M C Sujendra Babu were present as guests of honour.

Singer Venkatamurthi Shirur, multitalented Prabha N P Suvarna and successful entrepreneur Ramesh Sampangi Hyderabad were felicitated. City deputy commissioner and author Mohammed Rafi Pasha gave details of Kannada land, language and languages that are on the verge of extinction.

Jyothi Hegde and team performed Bharathanatya, Madhushree and team Hosakote and Nandini Mysure Kuchipudi dance, Ananya Channapattana, Prasanna Lakshmi and team Mysure, Vijayalakshmi Harikumar team Hyderabad and Shloka Reddy Hyderabad performed dances. Poornima Chaturvedi performed fusion dance. Venkatesh Murthy Shirur and Nagalakshmi sang poems. Prabha Suvarna red poems.

Ganesh Mangaluru and Shaila Rajakumari presented a musical programme.
