Mangaluru, Sep 19: Pillion rider of a scooter died as the scooter on which he was travelling was hit by an Omni van near Nisha Bagh of Gerukatte.
The deceased is identified as Prajwal (19), a resident of Karnad Amritamayi nagar and employed of Hejmady petrol pump. Prajwal was riding pillion with his elder brother. When both were going home a car hit at high speed to the scooter and Prajwal got flunged to the road and died as hit head hit the road.
North traffic ACP Geeta Kulkarni and inspector Mohammed Sharif visited the spot. A case is registered in this connection at Mulky police station.
