Mumbai: Advisory committee meeting of Vijaya college alumni association held

Mumbai, Sep 19: The meeting of Vijaya College Mulki alumni association advisory committee was held at Majestic Annexe auditorium, Borivili on September 15.

In the meeting chaired by Vasudev Salian, president of the association, honorary vice president Ananda Shetty, vice president advocate Shekar Bhandary and Secretary Bhasker B Shetty were on the dais.

Vasudev Salian said though the meeting of the association was not held for the last three years due to various reasons, the monetary help to college students was provided due to generosity of alumni students.

Ananda Shetty said the association is converted as Vijaya College global association at present and donations from old students of the college can be collected from any part of the world for the benefit of current students.

Bhasker B Shetty sought monetary help from all so that poor students can be helped. Advocate Shekar Bhandary said that they intend to admit and help as many poor students as possible in Vijaya College.

Old students, Bharath Bank director Bhasker M Salian, Ramesh Shetty, K N Suvarna, Lawrence D’ Souza, Bhasker M Salian, CA Somanath Kunder, CA Kishore Kumar Suvarna, CA Rohitaksha, Navinchandra Bangera, Kolnad Ashok Shetty, Navinchandra Suvarna, Damodar Rai, Sarita S Rao, Usha Shekar and others were present. Bhasker B Shetty proposed a vote of thanks.
