Mangaluru, Sep 20: The annual meeting of Kachuru credit cooperative society was held at St Sebastian community hall, Bendur on September 17.

Shruti, Swati and Saumya sang a prayer. Society president Chandrashekar K welcomed the members. General manager Padmanabha M tabled the annual report, accounts and budget for the year 2022-23. Notice was tabled by Ashok G, apportionment of profit by Bhaskar K Advocate, decisions of previous meeting by Diwaker Shambhoor and activities for the year 2023-24 by Harish P Bhandary. The details of amendments to the Byelaw of the society tabled by director Kumar Bhandary were approved. It was decided as per the amendments to request the government for approval to extend the current area of business to Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga and Bengaluru.

The society has received A group by the government during the audit every year and received SCDCC bank’s award for the last three years. The branches at Mangaluru, Udupi, Surathkal and Bantwal are earning profit. The accounts in all the branches are computerized. The members praised the achievements of the society.

The toppers in SSLC and PUC among the children of the members were distributed scholarships. The profit was divided and 20% dividend was declared.

Director Raghuveer Bhandary, Bhaskar Bhandary Surathkal, Sundar Bhandary Rai, Raja Bantwal, Ravindranath Ullal, B S Bhandary and Shekhar H were present. Shashidhar Karkala, director compered the programme. Vice president Rama Bhandary proposed vote of thanks.
