Beltangady: Two arrested for transporting calf, beef illegally

Beltangady, Sep 21: Acting on a tip-off, Venur police station personnel arrested two men on the accusation of transporting illegal beef and a male calf on September 18 at Kuthloor village of the taluk.

The jeep which is used in the act is also confiscated. The arrested accused are identified as Jinu Thomas (34), a resident of Thodupuzha taluk, Idi district of Kerala and Ranjit (31) from Kuttur.

ASI of Venur police station and personnel were involved in the operation.
