7th intercessory prayer for diocese held at Infant Jesus Church, Sharavathinagar

Shivamogga, Oct 30: The 7th intercessory prayer for the Diocese of Shimoga was held at Infant Jesus Church, Sharavathinagar, Shivamogga on October 29 from 2 pm to 6 pm.

The Diocese of Shimoga's Charismatic Renewal Services namely, Diocesan Service of Communion (DSC) together with Legion of Mary and St Vincent De Paul Society (SVP) held intercessory prayer for the intentions of the Diocese of Shimoga.

At 2 pm, spiritual director Fr Franklin D’Souza exposed the blessed sacrament and led the worship till 3 pm. From 3 pm to 4:30 pm, the DSC members led the intercessory rosary and divine mercy. Each decade was dedicated to the four deaneries, its parishes, faithful and their intentions. One decade was dedicated to the diocese and all its commissions and pastoral activities.

Then Fr Franklin D'Souza led the prayer for the districts, states and for the nation. He also led the prayer for the peace in the world. At 4:45 pm, he led the healing prayers for the participants. At 5:15 pm, he led the Holy Eucharist and thanked God for the intercessory prayer.

Fr Biju, parish priest of Infant Jesus Church, Sharavathinagar, Shivamogga, thanked Fr Franklin D’Souza and the DSC, SVP and Legion of Mary for organising this intercessory prayer.

On behalf of DSC, its coordinator Bro David Raj thanked everyone. The program concluded at 6 pm.
