Kaup, Oct 31: Nirmala (61), a resident of Amkudru, Uppugudde, who was seriously injured after she fell from running bike, succumbed to her injuries on the night of Sunday at the district hospital of Udupi.
Nirmala was going back to her home, along with her relative Dinesh, after partaking in the Satyanarayana Pooja programme held by Udyavara Billava Mahajana Sangha on Thursday. She became unconscious after the fall. She was admitted to the private hospital in Udupi and later taken to KMC Manipal.
The doctors at KMC declared Nirmala brain dead. She is survived by husband and three sons.
A case is registered in Kaup police station.
