Kundapur: Miscreants cheat woman of Rs 1.6 lac on pretext of part time online job

Kundapur, Nov 1: A cheating case of Rs 1.6 lac by asking a part time job aspirant to click on various internet links and remit money is reported from here. The victim was Shwetha (35).

Unidentified miscreants sent a message to the mobile phone of Shwetha (35) over WhatsApp and provided details of the part time job. They later sent various links, sent tasks to perform and asked to remit money for the tasks. They obtained Rs 1.63 lac in stages but neither provided the job nor refunded the amount remitted by Shwetha.

A case in this connection is registered at Kundapur rural police station.
