Udupi: Vasanthakala Arts exhibition inaugurated

Udupi, Nov 1: “The mind that looks for perfection and hunger for novelty are the secrets of the success of the arts achievements of Vasantalaxmi,” said well-known artist of Mumbai Sharmila Gupthe.

She was speaking after inaugurating the Vasantha arts exhibition at Aditi Art gallery at Kunjibettu here on November 1.

She said that the achievements of Vasantalaxmi are memorable and wished that they may remain in the minds of people forever.

Head of Drashti Art Gallery Ramesh Rao said that Vasantalaxmi has used the mixture of colors properly. “There should be arrangements to make the works remain forever and watched,” he said.

Nearly 70 drawings of Vasantalaxmi were displayed as a homage to her as she passed away a year ago.

Managing trustee of Aditi gallery Dr Kiran Acharya welcomed. Rajamohan Varamballi proposed a vote of thanks. Arvind Hebbar of Ranjani Memorial trust gave an introduction. Students Samanvi, Archana and Gargi introduced the important guests.
