Kundapur: Land pledged with co-op society sold by forging documents, case filed against 10

Kundapur, Nov 2: A land that was pledged for Rs 23 lac was sold to other buyer using fake signatures and seal in the city. Society has filed complaint on 10 people in this regard.

Sri Rama took Rs 12 lac loan from Padukone branch of Kundapur taluk Rosary credit cooperative society on March 6, 2020. Sanjeeva, Guruprasad, Kiran and Raghavendra were the guarantors for the loan. Later, on the same property Sri Rama took Rs 11.60 lac loan.

Sri Rama, along with other accused Ramakrishna, Ratnakara, Jagannatha and Girisha, created fake seal of the cooperative society and prepared a receipt saying that the loan was repaid on February 6, 2020 and sold the land to Nagaraja and registered the same at sub registrar’s office of Kundapur. They also took loan from Kundapur state bank based on the sale deed. A case on this regard is filed by CEO of the society Mabel D Almeida in the city police station.
