Uppinangady: Series of thefts target cash, property in multiple shops

Uppinangady, Nov 4: A series of thefts have occurred in various shops, hotels, and petrol stations along National Highway 34 in Nekkiladi.

The thieves forcibly broke the shutter lock of Jagdish Nayak's tile shop located near Gandhi Park, making away with approximately Rs 20,000 kept in the cash drawer.

Subsequently, they gained access to the adjacent scrap shop and made off with valuable copper items. The thieves also targeted a nearby hotel, making away with cash.

The culprits also broke into a nearby petrol station and made off with a sum of money.

Additionally, they broke open two glass doors at Ravindra Prabhu's Vrinda Vaibhav Gas Filling Centre, causing an estimated damage of around Rs 2 lacs.
