'Heroine': Aishwarya Serves Legal Notice to Bhandarkar

Daijiworld Media Network

Mumbai, Aug 28: Despite having pulled out of Madhur Bhandrakar's 'Heroine' and returning the signing amount, the controversy surrounding Aishwarya Rai's association with the film refuses to die down.

The latest is that Aishwarya has reportedly served legal notice to both Bhandarkar and UTV prohibiting them from using stills and footages of her in the movie.

The actress was dropped from the project soon after the news of her pregnancy became public. The news was followed by several reports of things going wrong between Bhandarkar and Ash, to the extent that Bhandarkar admitted that he had gone into depression. After much deliberation, Kareena Kapoor was taken as Ash's replacement.

A source revealed that she does not want Bhandarkar to use any of the stills or scenes that she had already shot for the movie.  She also paid back the signing amount of Rs 22 lac to UTV a few days ago.

"She thought it was fair to return it, even though they insisted that she should keep it, considering she had shot for so many days," said her spokesperson.

This is a TRUE Heroine. This is why she is our icon, silent - Dignified - Respectful. These people treated her pregnance like it was a disease. I say look out for Aishwarya when she is back, she was once thrown out of chalte chalte...what happened after that? She became a global phenomenon.

So Madhur had losses. What about all the other films that are shut down because of personal issues with actors?
I dont' see producers and directors crying to media. It's because its an actress that Madhur is crying.
And if he had completed his film ontime like he planned with Ash, then her pregnancy wouldn't have been in issue.
It sounds like Ash signed it figuring it'd be completed before her pregnancy became noticeable.

22 Lacs is a small amount to return but what about losses suffered by Bhandarkar. The shooting cost for all these days could be worth few crores. If the agreement has any clauses that do not allow the star to have the family way during the film shooting and process then it will be more trobule for Ash.I think Madhur do have not added such clauses signed that could be the reason he got depression.

Small Amount so return back or She must have got afraid of Anna's movement against corruption. Cheating a director and then pocketing the signing money is corruption as well.GOOD ASH
