Bantwal: Deanery Youth Meet ‘Yuva Milan’ Celebrates 20th Anniversary of ICYM

Bantwal, Sep 1: ‘Yuva Milan’, a youth meet of Bantwal deanery, was held at Infant Jesus church, Modankap, recently.  It was held to mark the International Youth Year and 20th anniversary of the Indian Youth Movement (ICYM).


Deanery ICYM director and Modankap parish priest Fr Ivan, resource person Savita Pereira, central ICYM former president Vincent were present on the dais.
Savita spoke on the state of Christians in the society and the role of youth. She initiated the youth for fruitful group discussions.


Bambil parish priest Fr Stany led the youth into prayer and adoration.The youth actively participated in the group dynamic session conducted by Dony and group. In the inter-parish tug of war competition, Modankap youth won the first place.

Deanery vicar Fr Roque, Fr Ivan, deanery youth committee founder president Leo Fernandes and other office-bearers were also present. Fr Roque felicitated the former office bearers during the programme and appreciated all the youth for their active participation.

Wilma and Lavina compered the programme. Two hundred and fifty youth from 13 parishes across the deanery attended the programme.
