Beltangady: Death of bike rider, pillion in accident – Truck driver sentenced to two years in prison

Beltangady, Nov 27: JMFC court of the city sentenced the driver of truck, who was responsible for the death of rider and pillion of a bike in an accident, to two years in prison and slapped a fine of Rs 1000.

On January 17, 2022, Eicher truck driven by accused Mohammed Sinan hit a bike driven by Misbauddin and pillion rider Asfan at Maddadka of Kuvettu village. A case was registered against the driver of the truck Mohammed Sinan in Beltangady traffic police station.

Chargesheet was filed by the then CI Shivakumar. The court which conducted the inquiry pronounced the verdict.
