Mangalore, Sep 4: Teacher’s Day is observed every year as a mark of respect to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and all the dedicated teachers in the country.

Church of Guardian Angel, Angelore celebrated the teachers day one day in advance on Sunday September 4.

All the teachers of the parish participated actively in the Eucharistic celebration. In the presence of all the parishioners they were called forward, congratulated, thanked and honoured with a souvenir at the end of the mass.

Thereafter a felicitation programme was organized by the Catholic Sabha, Angelore Unit, presided over by Fr Mathew Vas, parish priest. The chief guest Aloysius D’Souza, the headmaster, Rosario High School shared his experience as a teacher and motivated all the teachers to fulfil their mission – a vocation with dedication and make a difference as teachers with their loving service that could touch the lives of their students and lead them towards a meaningful future.

The assistant parish priest Fr Santhosh Lobo, parish council vice president Albert Lasrado, secretary Juliana Mascarenhas and president of Catholic Sabha Peter Fernandes were present on the dias. Jossy D’Souza M compered the programme.
