Udupi, Sep 5: Free ambulance service and coffins were donated to society at Shirva, near here, on Sunday September 4.
 
The ambulance service was donated by local hotelier Manohar Shetty and coffin boxes by NRI entrepreneur Ratnakar Shetty Kollabettu.


 

RSS leader Shambu Shetty, in his inaugural address, said that serving society through humanitarian deeds will bring one nearer to God.
 
“The drivers at the Shirva tempo–taxi stand offered to drive the ambulance on a  voluntary basis,” said Anantaraya Shenoy.
 
Sundar Prabhu, Vedamurti Kenja Sridar Tantri, Manohar Shetty, Kollabettu Ravindra Shetty, Tammanna Poojary, Babita Aras, Kutti Shetty, Satish Kutyar, and Rajesh Nayak were present on the occasion.
