Mangalore: Father Muller College Organises 'Shukran Jazeelan' on Teacher's Day

Mangalore, Sep 6: On the occasion of Teacher's Day students of MBBS batch 2009 of Father Muller Medical College organized a special progamme ‘Shukran Jazeelan', meaning 'thank you from the bottom of the heart' to thank their teachers here at the College Academy Hall on Monday September 5.

In his address chief of medical services and chief guest Dr B Sanjeev Rai stressed on the qualities a good teacher should possess.

Fr Denis D'Sa shared his thoughts on the need for introspection among teachers so as to make their teaching more effective. He also appreciated the efforts of students from batch 2009 in organizing the event.

Later Dr J P Alva recollected his student life and the influence his teachers had on him, and stressed the importance of the role a teacher play in one's life.

The formal function was followed by cultural programmes and an enthralling performance by Prajaktha and group. There were entertaining games organized for teachers in which they actively participated.

Sujonitha John welcomed the gathering and Thilakchand K R proposed the vote of thanks.
