Bantwal: Teachers’ Day Celebrations Held in Taluk

Bantwal, Sep 8: “The teacher’s profession is a sacred one indeed. Teachers have the responsibility of shaping society while one has to introspect very often on their role in society,” said MLA B Ramanat Rai.
 
He was speaking at the Teachers’ Day celebration held at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunateshwar Kalyana Mantap here on Monday September 5.



 

Mangalore MLA U T Khader urged the teachers to be role models in the society to command respect.
 
ZP president Shailaja Bhat, TP president Shailaja Shetty, vice-president Dinesh Amtoor, steering Committee president Madhav Mave, ZP members M S Mohammed, Mamata Gatti, Girija, Nalini Shetty, Chennappa Kotian and Santosh Kumar Rai were present on the occasion.
 
Mythological Yakshagana play ‘Yaksha Sambrama’ that was staged by the teachers was the highlight of the programme.
