Mangalore, Sep 8: Anupama (21), a resident of Kulai Kodikere near the city, ended her life on the morning of Wednesday September 7, by hanging herself from the wooden roof beams of her house.
It is gathered that Anupama, who was good at studies, was a first year student of Canara Engineering College. Immediately after her father saw that the girl was hanging from the rood, she was rushed to a hospital in Suratkal. But the girl did not survive.
In a complaint lodged with Suratkal police station, the student’s family members said that the student used to confide in them that she found mathematics too difficult for her to follow. They guess that she committed suicide because of the feeling of anguish she was suffering from on this account. A case was registered by the police, who have begun investigation.
