Mumbai, Jan 17: The People’s Arts Centre as their 1058th programme, hosted Ek Sangeeth Safar as a part of 84th birthday celebrations of famous musician Dr K J Yesudas at Bhakti Kala Kshetra, Juhu.

Bunts Sangha Mumbai honorary chief secretary, president of Janapada Parishad Maharashtra unit, Dr R K Shetty who was the chief guest presented Dr Yesudas Best Singer Award to background singer Shailendra Singh and honored him.

Well known singers of the country, Hemalatha, Udith Narayan Jha, Suresh Vadkar, Anup Jalota, Shabbir Kumar, Shailendra Singh and Babul Supriyo were presented with the Saptaswara Samrat Dr K J Yesudas Achievers Award for their contribution to the musical sector.

Head of People’s Art Center Gopalakrishna Pillai welcomed. Niharikha and Ashish Dube introduced the dignitaries, compered the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.

Musicians presented popular Hindi songs of Yesudas, Gori Tera Gaon Bada Pyara, Dil Ke Thukde Karke, Surmai Akiyon Me and other songs and entertained the gathered music lovers.
