New Delhi, Jan 20: Abhishek Surana's journey from Bhilwara, Rajasthan, to becoming the CEO of Jodhpur zilla parishad is indeed an inspiring and unique story. Growing up in a common family, he witnessed the hard work of his father to make ends meet but remained focused on excelling in both academics and extracurricular activities throughout his school years in Bhilwara.

After completing his education at IIT Delhi, Abhishek Surana landed a high-profile job at Barclays Investment Bank in Singapore. Subsequently, he worked in a bank in London, earning a substantial salary. However, despite his successful career abroad, Surana felt a deep calling to serve the people of his home country, India.

Driven by the desire to contribute to the betterment of society, Abhishek Surana decided to pursue the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS). His initial attempts were met with disappointment, but his determination and resilience led him to secure the 250th rank in his third attempt, making him an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer.

Undeterred by setbacks, Abhishek remained steadfast in his goal to become an IAS officer. Simultaneously undergoing police officer training, he made a fourth attempt at the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams. This time, his efforts bore fruit as he secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 10, fulfilling his dream of becoming an IAS officer.
