Mumbai, Jan 22: Om Sri Jagadheeshwari Seva Samithi and Shree Brahma Baidarkala Garadi celebrated their golden jubilee at Jnan Sagar Amphitheater, Borivili on Jan 20.

The event consisting of religious and cultural programmes was inaugurated by its chief guest, north Mumbai Loksabha MP Gopal C Shetty who also released the souvenir of the occasion.

Senior author, Babu Shiva Poojary, Bharath bank president Suryakanth J Suvarna, director Bhasker M Salian, Santhosh K Poojary, entrepreneurs Kariappa Gowda, Mundappa S Payyade, Dr Harish B Shetty, Dr Sathish B Shetty, Premnath Kotian, Avinash Shetty, Billawar association Borivili – Dahisar local office president Mohan B Ameen, BJP leader Dr Yogesh Dube and others commended the religious and cultural work in the temple.

Om Shree Jagadeeshwari Seva Samithi founder president Shekar Indu Salian were felicitated by the guests.

Seva Samithi president Lakshman S Salian, vice president Narasappa K Marnad, honorary chief secretary CA Abhijith G Shetty, honorary treasurer Ashish R Kotian, joint secretary Sadashiva S Salian, joint treasurer Usha S Mendon, advisor Vishwanath B Bangera, Ranjith Suvarna, Pravin Varadkar, current and former office bearers, management committee, priests, Yuvavahini and ladies committee and members were present.

Harinakshi B Shetty, Jayanti Kotian and Pramod Poojary sang prayers. Programme committee president Dayananda Poojary Varanga welcomed and gave an introduction. Office bearers felicitated the guests. Sachin Poojary Bhivandi introduced the guests and compered the programme. Karunaker K Kaup proposed a vote of thanks.

Abhinaya Mantapa Mumbai troupe performed ‘Oikela Dina Barod’ tulu comedy play written by Ramananda Nayak, Jodurasthe and directed by Karunaker K Kaup.

Raghu K Kotian conducted the rituals, Arati, distributed Prasada and blessed the devotees.
