Udupi, Feb 24: BJP District President Kishore Kumar stated, “Everyone has the right to protest, and the demand is solely for a change in the candidate, not 'Go back Shobha’.”
Addressing reporters regarding the 'Go back Shobha' campaign initiated by BJP workers in Chikkamagaluru, Kishore clarified, "The campaign seeks a change in candidate. It is localized to Chikkamagaluru, and party officials are not part of it. The party's leadership will take note of this matter. For us, the lotus symbol represents the candidate always. Our allegiance lies with the party's success, not individual personalities."
He further said that as per the party's plan, 400 activists from Udupi district will travel from Udupi railway station to visit Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on March 6.
Kishore also advocated for the success of the Yuva Chaupal Sahitya series campaigns. In accordance with BJP national president J P Nadda's directive, the 'Namo Yuva Bharat' campaign will take place from February 25 to March 5 across all villages in Udupi district. Under this initiative, 'Yuva Choupal', a programme targeting new youth voters aged between 18 to 25 years, will be conducted.
He further mentioned, "This campaign will commence simultaneously in all the mandals of the district on March 25 and will continue in all the villages until March 3. Through this initiative, new youth voters will be educated about the pro-people schemes and accomplishments of the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"As per the directives of the state BJP, comprehensive plans have been devised to ensure the successful implementation of Gram Chalo, Godhe Barha, Labharathika Samparka, and Shakti Vandan Abhiyans.
"Udupi district BJP is actively preparing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The District Lok Sabha election office has been inaugurated on the ground floor of the Mandavi Trade Center complex, located near the BJP district office," he announced.
Kishore urged the newly appointed team of Udupi district BJP, along with office bearers, representatives, and activists at various levels, to diligently execute the party's campaigns across the district. He emphasized the importance of working tirelessly to ensure a significant victory margin for the party candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections through the establishment of a robust party organization.
District chief secretaries Raghavendra Kini, Reshma Uday Shetty, Vijaya Kumar, Srinidhi Hegde, Satyananda Nayak, Vikyath Shetty, and Shiva Kumar Ambalpady and others were present.
