Bangalore: Will Darshan Continue Acting in Jail?

Bangalore, Sep 27: Though Sandalwood actor Darshan is lodged at the Parappana Agrahara central jail, he is still receiving offers for new roles, though perhaps not to his liking.

Sources revealed on Monday September 26 that a few inmates will be staging a play in October. With an actor like Darshan around, they decided to offer him a role in the play.

However, Darshan has not replied to their offer, sources said.

Around 30 inmates who have been chosen for the drama have expressed their desire of giving Darshan a role in it. But an official said that it is very doubtful if Darshan would agree to the role.

The official said, "There's one more month for the play and accepting the role means he stays back here. I'm sure Darshan won't like that."

Darshan was arrested earlier this month on charges of threatening and beating up his wife Vijaylaxmi. Though she later changed her statement, his bail pleas have been repeatedly rejected. For some days he was also hospitalised for jaundice and asthma, before being shifted back to jail.
