Bengaluru, Mar 3: Leader of Opposition in Assembly R Ashoka has condemned the "sympathetic attitude" adopted by the ruling Congress party towards terrorists to further its vote bank politics.
Speaking to media persons at the BJP office after its Sankalpa Abhiyaana campaign launch on Sunday, he accused the ruling Congress leaders of showing sympathy to terrorists and anti-national forces and for winking at their activities.
He said the BJP has already submitted a memorandum asking the State Governor to dismiss the Siddaramaiah regime for its ‘’anti-national actions to futher its vote bank politics’’ ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
"The Siddaramaiah government has no moral right to continue in office even for a single day," he said.
Ashoka said the FSL report into the pro-Pakistan slogan shouting in Vidhana Soudha on February 22 has already been submitted to the government but it is deliberately suppressing the report.
The senior BJP leader alleged that the Congress government is carrying out its minority appeasement politics and demanded that the FSL report must be published immediately.
He claimed that he police have questioned seven persons in connection with the pro-Pakistan slogan shouting and is trying to hush up the incident.
The BJP leader also criticised the conflicting statements being issued by several ministers in connection with Rameshwaram Café bomb blast incident that occurred on Friday.
He claimed that anti-national forces were forced to hide during the BJP rule but now they are coming out and causing havoc.
Ashoka took exception to deputy chief Minister D K Shivakumar attacking the BJP for saying that "Brand Bengaluru has become Bomb Bengaluru" and said the bomb blast happened in Bengaluru and not in Mumbai.
"If the law and order situation in the city is good and infrastructure facilities are ideal, we will hail it as Brand Bengaluru", he said.
To a question on Agriculture Minister N Cheluvarayaswamy’s allegation that BJP leaders were behind the incidents in Bengaluru, he challenged the government to ‘’shoot or hang the pro-Pakistan sloganeers and those who were involved in the bomb blasts’’ adding that "the BJP will not oppose irrespective of their political party affiliations."
