Moodbidri: Baragur to Inaugurate Nudisiri

Moodbidri, Sep 29: Veteran writer, Baragur Ramachandrappa, will be inaugurating ‘Alvas Nudisiri’ annual cultural festival being held here from November 11 to 13 under the aegis of Alvas Education Foundation.

Baragur had been the president of the first ever ‘Nudisiri’ organized here. Baragur, who was born at Baragur in Tumukur district in 1946, served as a teacher of Kannada in Kannada Study Centre of Bangalore University. He was also the president of Central Kannada Sahitya Parishat for two years.

His collection of short stories, ‘Suntaragali’ has won the Sahitya Academy award. A number of his works have made an indelible impact on the Kannadigas, who keep remembering them even after decades.
