Mangalore, Oct 3: ICYM Neermarga unit celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi at Aloysian Boys Home, Nehru Nagar, here on Sunday October 2.
The inauguration of the programme was done by offering flowers to the portrait of Gandhiji by the gathering. Thereafter chief guest of the programme Sr Prathima spoke on the life values of Gandhiji, and she asked a few of the children to share some of the life examples of Gandhi.
Rayan Miranda gave a inspirational talk on the teachings of Gandhiji. A short stage programme was put forth by the youth of Neermarga. Various games were also conducted to the children and the prizes of the same were distributed by Sr Monthi.
The youth had also generously contributed sweets, fruits, vegetables and grocery items to the Home.
Steevan Vas, president of Neermarga ICYM unit, Nirmala D’souza, the animator were present.
