Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Oct 3: A person named V Mustafa (38) from Kannur Kerala, who arrived at the local airport by a Dubai flight on Saturday October 1, was arrested by the immigration officials for possessing fake passport. He was handed over to Bajpe police.

On producing Mustafa in the court, he was remanded to 15 days judicial custody. Mustafa told the police that a person named Moidu from Mallapuram, working as agent for passports, provided a fake passport to him by making alternations in a passport belonging to Parambil Arif.

It is gathered that Mustafa had used this passport a number of times to travel to foreign countries and coming back, through various airports in the country including Mumbai and Bangalore.

Congratulations to the Officials at the Mangalore Airport who traced this fraud...

Its really shocking that the person was not arrested during his several visits abroad through Mumbai and Bangalore... imagine how many others may be inside our country on such visas..i am sure other nationalities also have easy access in such a scenario....

Kudos to officers of namma Kudla! This is the latest of numerous cases of fake passport holders, who had safely passed through other airports but got trapped in Mangalore. In the course of my travels to and from India I had observed that both emigration and customs officials are alert, duty bound as well as passenger friendly. While in Mumbai passengers are judged by their appearance. Poor, illiterate and labour class passengers are unduly harassed and intimidated. Yet they calm down once you switch on to convesation in Marathi.

This person may be a terrorist who knows....he should be deported from where he came, because that country knows how to deal with this type of people.
