NALCO Chief's Tenure Extended


Bhubaneswar, Oct 11 (IANS): The tenure of state-run National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) chairman-cum-managing director B.L. Bagra has been extended upto December 2011, an official statement said Tuesday.

Bagra, director (finance) of the company, was given this additional charge in February this year. In 2008, he was entrusted by the union ministry of mines the additional charge of managing director of Bharat Gold Mines Limited.

Bagra joined NALCO as director (finance) in 2007, and since then has been instrumental in creating vision 2020 for the company and a long-term corporate plan, the company said in a statement.

The Bhubaneswar-headquartered NALCO is India's third largest aluminium producer.
