Mangaluru: Cine Galaxy Coastal Film Awards 2024 held in grandeur

Mangaluru, Jun 17: The third edition of the Cine Galaxy Coastal Film Awards 2024, organized by The S Company (Sandy's), took place on Sunday, June 16, at the Mulki Sundar Ram Shetty Convention Center. The event was held under the auspices of Sandesh Raj Bangera, managing director of Sandy’s Company.

Sandy's Company has successfully hosted one of the biggest festivals in the form of the coastal film awards for the last two editions.

In the 2024 edition, awards were conferred in 30 categories, including the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Versatile Actor Award.

Several celebrities from Coastalwood and Sandalwood graced the event, making it a fun-filled extravaganza with dance performances by celebrities.

Celebrities like Vijay Raghavendra, Siddu Moolimani, Anuradha Bhat, Sonal Monteiro, Roopesh Shetty, and Pruthvi Ambar attended the occasion.

Led by Sandesh Raj Bangera, Sandy’s Company has worked tirelessly since its inception, organizing events like the coastal film awards and the Yuva Dasara concert, among others. Sandesh Raj Bangera has also produced two Tulu movies, ‘Pilibail Yamunakka’ and ‘Radd Ekkere’.

Soujanya Hegde, Chethan Shetty, and Sharmila Amin compered the event.

Roopesh Shetty received the award for Best Actor in a Lead Role for the movie 'Circus'. Rachana Rai received the award for Best Actress in a Lead Role for the movie 'Circus'. Shivadwaj Shetty received the award for Best Director for the movie 'Koramma'. Yashwin K Shettigar received the award for Best Editor for the film 'Rapata'. Devadas Kapikad received the award for Best Screenplay for the movie 'Rapata'. Prasanna Shetty received the award for Best Dialogue for the movie 'Circus'. Chandra Bende received the award for Best Action for the movie 'Pulimunchi'. Rajesh Byndoor and Harish Naik Bajpe received the award for Best Art Direction for the movie 'Pulimunchi'. Loy Valentine Saldana received the award for Best Background Score for the movie 'Circus'. Sachin Shetty received the award for Best Cinematography for the movie 'Rapata'. Mani AJ Karthikeyan received the award for Best Story for the movie 'Gauji Gammath'. Sachin Poojary received the award for Best Choreography for the movie 'Gosmari Family'. Aarush Poojary received the award for Best Child Artist for the movie 'Yaan Superstar'. Devadas Kapikad received the award for Best Supporting Actor for the movie 'Gauji Gammath'. Namitha received the award for Best Supporting Actress for the movie 'Pulimunchi'. KK Pejavar received the award for Best Lyricist for the movie 'Pili'. The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Ram Shetty. Akash Prajapati received the award for Best Music Director. Anuradha Bhat received the award for Best Playback Singer (Female) for the movie 'Pili'. Nihal Tauro received an award for the movie 'Circus'. Aravind Bolar received the award for Best Performance in a Comic Role for the movie 'Pulimunchi'. Swaraj Shetty received the award for Best Performance in a Negative Role for the movie 'Pulimunchi'. The Best Film Award went to 'Gauji Gammat'. Karunakar received the award for Best Debut Actor for the film 'Gauji Gammath'. Samata Amin received the award for Best Female Debut Actor for the movie 'Gosmari Family'. Thilak Acharya received the award for Best Publicity Designer for the movie 'Circus'. The Best Popular Film Award went to 'Circus'. The Jury Special Award for Best Film was given to 'Koramma'. Mohan Sheni received the award for Best Actor in 'Koramma'. Dayanandha Shetty received an award for the movie 'Yaan Superstar'. Roopashree Varkady received the award for Best Versatile Actress.
