Kelly Rowland Out of 'X Factor'

London, Oct 30 (IANS): Kelly Rowland, former member of the music band Destiny's Child, won't judge the British version of the music reality show "The X Factor" due to illness.

Rowland fell sick during a trip to Los Angeles.

"I'm so sick - I have no idea what is wrong with me, but I have the worst sore throat. I've been in tears all week. It got so bad that I stopped eating and drinking and got so dehydrated the doctor put me on a drip," contactmusic.com quoted the 30-year-old as saying.

"Even now I can't swallow anything - not even my own saliva... I was on the plane and I got this weird scratchy feeling in my throat...The doctor said that whatever I had was extremely rare. The infection is really low down in my throat," she added.

"The X Factor" bosses have reportedly asked Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger, a judge on the US version of the programme, to take Rowland's place until she is better.
