Mangaluru, Jul 10: On June 29, St Agnes (CBSE) School, Bendore, Mangaluru, turned a rainy day into a vibrant and productive experience for its students.

The school embraced the downpour with a series of well-organised activities that kept the students engaged and excited throughout the day. The theme "Whispers of the Rainy season" with the tagline ‘Embrace the Downpour with Delightful Activities’ perfectly captured the essence of the occasion, symbolising growth, rejuvenation, and joy.

The school's innovative approach to the rainy-day challenges tailored unique activities for each grade level. From Grade 1 to Grade 7, students were immersed in a diverse range of activities that encouraged creativity, learning, and exploration. Each activity was thoughtfully designed to spark the students' interest and foster a positive learning environment, despite the weather conditions.

In a delightful embrace of the rainy weather, the Grade 1 students, adorned with colourful umbrellas, joyfully experienced the beauty of rain first hand in an activity named "Droplets." Meanwhile, the Grade 2 students, in their activity "Vibrant Hues," explored symbols associated with rainy days through a colouring exercise, showcasing their artistic talents with great enthusiasm.

In Grade 3, students participated in the 'Creative Blooms' activity, where they designed heartfelt greeting cards inspired by their personal experiences and reflections on rainy days. Moving on to Grade 4, students engaged in Woolen Wonders, creating intricate woollen art pieces. The Grade 5 students, under the title Rainy Day Folds, crafted various origami objects with a rainy-day theme.

Transitioning to Grade 6, students explored 'Monsoon Melodies', immersing themselves in the diverse regional songs of India that celebrate rainy days, channelling their creativity through musical expression. Concurrently, Grade 7 students delved into 'Rainy Delights', exploring the culinary traditions associated with rainy days, experimenting with and discovering delicious recipes.

The teachers delivered a PowerPoint presentation to elaborate on the significance of rainy days, aiming to impart additional knowledge to the students.

Principal Sr Maria Sarika A C, the school's cornerstone, conceptualised these activities to enable students to gain insights into the season's rich knowledge, encompassing its diverse culture and traditions.

The rainy day at St Agnes (CBSE) School was not just a regular day; it was a day filled with unique, creative, and enjoyable activities that showcased the school's adaptability and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

The students' engagement and enthusiasm throughout the day were a testament to the success of the school's efforts in turning challenges into opportunities for growth and exploration.
