Mangalore: MLA Ridicules BJP for Bowing Down to Sriramulu

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Nov 8: MLA, U T Khader has ridiculed BJP for its misfortune of having been forced to kneel before former minister Sriramulu. He said that the party, which has no other option but to bow before Sriramulu, has been waiting with a ‘B’ election nomination form in front of Sriramulu’s doors, eagerly waiting for his positive response.

In a press statement, Khader recalled that the BJP had in the past, firmly said that Sriramulu cannot be accommodated in the state cabinet because of the charges of his involvement with mining scam. He noted that Sriramulu had thereafter, resigned from his membership of the legislative assembly, saying that his self respect had been hurt.

“I don’t understand why the party is now cajoling Sriramulu to accept to be a BJP candidate for Bellary rural assembly constituency. Is BJP, a national party, not in a position to get a candidate with a clean slate?” he questioned.

Khader also criticized the BJP for cheating the people by initially claiming to supply uninterrupted power and then faltering to keep up its promise. He has urged the government to at least ensure that the people get power without any load shedding during this festival season.
