Mangalore: Labourer Drowns in Septic Tank

Mangalore, Nov 8: A labourer slipped and drowned in the septic tank of a hotel located on the main road at Kinnigoli in the taluk on Sunday night. He has been identified as Kitta Koraga (45) from Ullanje.

Five labourers, Kitta, Prakash from Kudripadavu, Suresh and Nemiraj from Ullanje, were working to empty the tank on Sunday evening. At around 8.30 pm, Kitta slipped, and fell into the tank, where he died, Sadashiva, an eyewitness, said.

On a complaint made by Sadashiva, a case was registered at Mulky police station against hotel owner, Maxim Saldanha. Investigation has been taken up.
