Kasargod, Nov 10: An auto driver in Melparamba here hanged himself after sending a text message on his mobile phone to his friends, late night on Wednesday November 9.
C H Sunil Kumar (28) resident of Chaliyangody, an auto rickshaw driver is the deceased. He was a BJP activist.
On Wednesday night, he sent SMS to his friends stating that he would commit suicide, and then switched off his phone.
Shocked at the message, his friends rushed to his house but Sunil was not around. After a search, they found Sunil’s body hanging from a tree near his house. The reason for taking the extreme step is not yet known. Town police registered a case.
