Mangalore: Illegal Sale of Tatkal Railway Tickets - 10 Arrested

Mangalore, Nov 11: Railway vigilance department and Railway Protection Force (PRF) jointly conducted raid and arrested 10 people who were allegedly selling railway tatkal tickets.

The police have confiscated from them tatkal tickets worth Rs. 20,000. The arrested are identified as Sunil, Ganesh, Nithinraj, Rajesh Kumar, Umesh, Nikil, Wilson, Basavraj, Mendonza and Kiran of Mangalore.

P J George, Vigilance officer and PRF inspector Vijay Kumar found the guilty during their raid at Cental Railway Stop, Mangalore and Ticket Booking Counter at Lalbhag and arrested them.

The arrested were buying the railway tickets using the tatkal  scheme and were selling it for double rates at black market, the police revealed.
