Puttur: Accident Involving Trucks – Identity of Deceased Confirmed

Puttur, Nov 12: The traffic policemen said that they have succeeded in identifying the driver of a mini truck, who had died after his vehicle collided with a truck at around 10 pm on Thursday November 10 at Udane in Shiradi village on national highway 75. A truck carrying tender coconuts to Mangalore, and a mini truck moving towards Bangalore, had collided head on. The mini truck driver has been identified as Manjunath (29), resident of Kamakshipalya in Bangalore.

The other truck was being driven by Abdul Razack from B C Road. Ravi from Periyapatna, Mysore district, to whom the load of tender coconuts belonged, and Razack, are being treated in a hospital in Mangalore.

A case has been registered in the traffic police station here. Investigation has been taken up.
