Mangalore, Nov 13: Holy Cross Church, Cordel, Kulshekar ICYM unit organized 'Church Centenary Baal Cordel 2011-12' on Saturday November 12 at 6 pm in Frad Saib hall. The hall was filled with enthusiasm and cheerfulness with the participation of 21 little champs.
The competition involved the three rounds comprising ramp walk, question-answer round and talent presentation. Sr Lisa, superior of Sacred Hearts Convent was the chief guest. She said that home and family members influence child’s behavior, outlined the do’s and don’ts for young kids and added that mingling with these young kids gives peace.
The program was presided over by parish priest, ICYM director Fr Valerian Pinto. He appreciated the children for their efforts and participation and wished them well.
Others in the stage included ICYM assistant director Fr Melwyn Norhonna, assistant parish priest .Fr John Moras, parish Council vice president Praveen Patrao, ICYM animators Sushil Norohna, Noel D’Souza, Leena Lobo, ICYM president Francis G D’Souza and Secretary Sujata.
The competition was judged by Anil Montero, Paldane, Gretta Gonsalves, Bendur and Sherin Walder, Angelor.
The winners of the competition of the category 2.5 to 4 years were
First place – Master Meethan Norohna (Baal Cordel)
1st runner-up - Master Ethen Raphael Tauro
2nd runner-up - Master Ancil Periera.
The program was compeered by Jeshma D’Souza and Seema D’Souza.
