Kasargod: Robbery at Manjeshwar – Huge Cash, Valuables Stolen

Kasargod, Nov 13: The thieves entered into the house of Adam at Santadka, Miyapadavu near Manjeshwar here and took away around 30 sovereigns of gold worth Rs 6.40lac and a cash amount of Rs 2.58lac on Saturday November 12.

Adam is employed at Kolli. The theft occurred when the house members were away at relatives’ place. The theft came to light when they returned home on Saturday.

In order to build a new house they had pledged the gold and had brought home the cash which is gone into the hands of robbers now. The thieves had broke open the house door and conducted the robbery.

A Similar theft had taken place in another house nearby belonging to Mohammed Basheer too. When no one was there at home, the thieves had barged in. The investigations and search for robbers is on.
