Mudigere: Konkani Rakann Sanachalan Fundraiser ‘Baila’ Show on Feb 12

Mudigere, Nov 13: The Catholic Konkani Rakann Sanchalan of Chikmagalur and Hassan ® will be organizing  a ‘Baila’ show by Mandd Sobhann, at Catholic Club open grounds, Chikmagalur, on Sunday February 12, 2012.  It will be held in aid of poor children’s education eund.

This was announced by Konkani Rakann Sanchalan president Cyril Rebello during a meeting held at Rotary Club auditorium, on Friday November 11
Konkani Rakann Sanchalan secretary Edwin Pinto and vice -resident Eric D’Souza were present at the dais.
Cyril Rebello distributed tickets and handbills to presidents of units of Konkani Rakann Sanchalan at the same occasion.


Konkani Rakann Sanchalan is recognized as one among 25 top Konkani organizations by President Pratibha Patil.  It has been actively involved in promoting Konkani and fighting for it’s sustenance in Malnad regions of Karnataka, besides forging unity among Konkani Catholics. It has so far organized five ‘Konkani Utsav,s’ and ‘Vovyo Verse’ training workshops, Konkani camps, talent contest, training for Konkani students.  It has units in every parish and has the objective of opening units in parishes that have none. Alwyn D’Souza conducted the prayers.
