Udupi: ICYM Udyavar Celebrates Children's Day

Udupi, Nov 14: ICYM Udyavar celebrated children's day programme at St Francis Xavier church hall here on Sunday November 13.

The programme was presided by John Dsouza, secretary of Parish Council. Chief guest for the programme was Ronald Karkada, Chairman of U B MC Udupi, Mangalore and Kodagu.

Parish priest Fr Charles Noronha,  Gracy Machado, president of Udyavara grama panchayath, Glanish Pinto, upcoming shuttle badminton player who has selected for national level, representatives of children Allen Dsouza and  Ravita Dsouza were also present on dais.

The programme was inaugurated by Allen D'Souza and Ravita D'Souza student representatives. The prizes of drawing competition held on November 6 was distributed by Fr. Charles Noronha and the Children's Photo competition prizes distributed by Mrs. Gracy Machado. On the occasion of Children's Day guest Ronald Karkada and John Dsouza delivered their messeage and wishes to everyone.

On the occasion felicitation programme was arranged for newly elected Udyavara Grama Panchayath president Gracy Machado and Glanish Pinto, Shuttle badminton player selected for National level. The guests were welcomed by ICYM President James Furtado,  prize list read by Rebecca Mendonca, Vote of thanks proposed by Rithesh Dsouza, Master of ceremony was Mervin Dsouza and the whole program co-ordinated by Steevan Colaco and all the members of ICYM Udyavar.

The programme concluded with various dance and singing shows presented by children.
