Udupi: Bus Knocks Down Pedestrian to Death

Udupi, Nov 14: A bus went wayward after hitting a car, and knocked down a person walking by the roadside at Santekatte near here on Sunday November 13. The man in question was killed on the spot.

A private bus speeding towards Udupi brushed against the side of a car that was going towards Udupi from Brahmavar. In a reflex action, the driver turned the bus to the left, and hit a pedestrian. The deceased is yet to be identified.

The policemen said that the deceased is aged between 55 and 60, whose height is about 5’5” with wheatish complexion. Shirt, lungi, and sacred thread were found on his body. They have asked the relatives of the deceased man to contact nearest police station or the traffic police station in the town.
