Mangaluru: Three more held in Ulaibettu dacoity case; total arrests now 13

Mangaluru, Aug 28: The rural police have arrested three more individuals in connection with the June 21 robbery at the residence of Padmanabha Kotian, a contractor with the public works department (PWD), in Ulaibettu Kayarpadavu. This brings the total number of arrests in the case to 13.

The newly arrested accused, identified as Devin, Gadthin, and Amal Krishna, are residents of Thrissur, Kerala. Previously, the police had arrested Uppala Balakrishna Shetty, Peruvayi Raymond D'Souza, Ramesh and Vasanth Kumar from Neermarga, John Bosco from Thiruvananthapuram, Shijo Devassy from Thrissur, Satheesh Babu, Shakir Hussain, Sajeesh M, Vinoj P K, and car driver Bipinraj.

During the arrest of the three accused from Thrissur, the police recovered some gold ornaments and cash. The suspects had tied up the family members, assaulted them, and made off with the valuables. The police are still searching for three additional suspects involved in the robbery.
