Mangalore, Nov 23:
People in large numbers, much beyond the expectations of the organisers, flooded into Nehru Maidan here on Wednesday November 23, after a procession was taken out from Jyothi Circle to voice their opposition to the proposed ‘Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence Bill-2011’.

Addressing the gathering, RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat expressed his fury over the proposed bill and said that never before had even a single ‘autocrat’ dared to propose such a bill, which has the intention of creating communal hatred among people by dividing them through law.

"The bill even has a strange provision to arrest police themselves if they delay in filing complaint by anyone from the minority community. Till date, communal clashes have occured only in places where either Muslims or Christians were the dominant community, and not Hindus. Thus the proposed bill is a vote bank gimmick to appease the minorities," he said.

On a sarcastic note Dr Bhat said that Sonia Gandhi might have fooled Rajiv Gandhi, but not the people of this nation.

The bill does not apply to Jammu Kashmir where Hindus are the minority, which means the bill is biased, he added.

The bill was drafted by a committee consisting of seven members among whom four were from the minority community, and none of them were judges of any court, contrary to the norm followed at the time of forming a committee to draft a bill, he said. "However, police and judges of the court of law are bound to bend to this law in future. This is disrespect to the judicial system of the nation," he said.

He asserted that one should follow sound politics and not politics backed by unlawful practices. He also said that not many people aware of this proposed bill, and that everyone should spread the agenda behind this ‘draconian’ law.

About Dr Veerappa Moily’s stand on the bill, he said, "Moily claims that he wrote Ramayana Mahanweshanam, but is not carrying out his duties in the right way. He did not write it, but only signed after somebody else wrote it."

He received thunderous applause when he referred to the recent rampage at St Alphonsa Church in the city, and said, "The present silence of the church authorities is an indication that there was unethical activity going on in the church, and Sangha Parivar was blamed for no fault." He also urged COD investigation into the matter.

Prof M B Puranik, state vice-president of VHP Karnataka in his keynote address said that the bill was unfortunate and the present condition seems to be worse than that of during the Emergency. "This is a weapon to curb the power of Hindus and is opposed by all," he said.

Shree Sadguru Rajayogi Ramananda Swamiji of Shree Kshetra Kollya, Shree Mohandasa Swamiji of Shree Dhama Manila, Shree Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Shree Kshetra Vajradehi Mutt, Gurupura blessed the occasion.

Shree Rajashekarananda Swamiji said that the mammoth protest against the bill itself is an indication to the central government to withdraw the proposed bill. "Corporate affairs minister Dr Veerappa Moily, who said that there was a need for the bill, may not be allowed to enter his native district by the people. This mammoth protest itself is a message to the government that the bill should not be introduced for discussion in the winter session of the two houses."

Muniyappa, Prantha Sanghatana Pramukh, Dharma Jagarana Karnataka in his keynote address said that there was need for a bill against terrorism in the nation. "Mahatma Gandhiji in those days felt the dire need for a bill against religious conversion. Also, we need a bill against cow slaughtering, but the UPA has done nothing. But they have proposed the controversial communal and targeted violence bill," he lamented. Prevention of Terrorism Ordinance (POTO) was withdrawn by the same UPA government and now to gain vote bank from minorities the communal and targeted violence bill is proposed, he added.

Dr P Vaman Shenoy, honorary president of Hindu Hitharakshana Vedike, Mangalore presided.

Ramesh S welcomed. Harish Achar delivered vote of thanks. Traffic was diverted from 2 pm in some parts of the city.

'Communal Violence Bill Vote Bank Gimmick to Appease Minorities' The theme of the movement itself is wrong or misleading. Minorities are only just about 20% of the total population. Their votes will not matter to any party. Even Congress was voted to power by the HINDUS. So what do they mean by appeasing the minorities???

By providing video of the communal voilence bill speeches held in Nehru Maidan Daijiworld has shown to the world how these kinds of leaders speeches are provoking/enticing the citizens of this country comunally inside India as well as outside.

It was better if translated speech was edited in English letters over the video so that the world would have perceived the character of these organizers and speakers.

My only sincere prayers to these leaders and to the organizers with our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ is let Him guide them in right ways from hatred to love, from enmity to friendship, from deceiet to honesty, from selfishness to selfless rather than teaching their children to hate other communities.

WE CHRISTIANS TEACH OUR CHILDREN TO FOLLOW THE THE TEN COMANMDNETS AND TO LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELVES. OUR MESSAGE TO THE COMING GENERATIONS IS VERY CRYSTAL CLEAR IN WORDS, PRACTICE AND FOLLOWUP BEFORE, NOW AND IN THE FURTURE.
PRAISE THE LORD AND HIS NAME BE GLORIFIED.

These so called peace loving Hindus are upset over the crime bill, it is not even targeted against them. Sole purpose of the Bill is to establish law and order. Why couldn't they get along with the minorities, such as Christians? Hindus do not like Harigens, they call them untouchable and degrade them, now they are terrorizing Christians. May be Hindus should learn to get along with all the Indians peacefully they we may not need the Bill. These inciting politicians are barking at the wrong tree. These politicians are perpetrating hatred within the community.

I really don't know why we minorities fear our dear Hindu brothers... At least we have a voice in this lovely nation called Hindustan... Why don't we think about our Hindu, Sikh and Christian brothers in Pakistan where the majority religion in that nation is trying its level best to crush the aforesaid minorities...The Muslims need freedom everywhere... wherever they are, but are adamant in doing the same to others... I support the RSS and other right winged activists... Our Hindu friends have only one nation called Hindustan which they can proudly proclaim it... God bless you brothers and enlighten us all...

This meeting is a vote bank gimmick to appease majorities nothing else. Hindus have lost confidence in themselves. They need drips daily to remain faithful to their religion. Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Bhudists or Jains never bother if any one accept Hindu religion. RSS is making them more weaker despite majority. Mahendra Kumar himself felt guilty after church attacks. Any way we have forgiven him.

Please recall the recent incident in Udupi wherein a lady and her family members were asked to get out of the dining area which was meant for upper caste hindus. I have not read about any protest from Hindus on this issue. Where were these "instigating" speakers at that point of time ? The speakers on the dias should first do soul-searching before spreading venom against the minorities. First of all, the HINDU community need to be united before pinpointing drawbacks in the communal violence bill. We, as indians know to live peacefully and do not need any advice from these communal minded leaders.

How honest to humanity is this UNITY? Is this a gathering of vengenance?

With much interest I followed the speeches by various distinguished people including Mr. Bhat. One needs to ask what really these people are afraid off. Are they afraid of the communal violence bill? Or are they afraid of the minorities? I am sure these people don’t know anything about peace, unity, integrity and secular principles. If they knew then they would not have given hate speeches. The people sitting on the dais seem to know all the problems facing the country and also they have the solution to  these problems. Their talks are provocative and venomous. Mr. Bhat and your followers sitting on the dais please before addressing any public gathering first take some lessons on how to address a public gathering and also some public etiquette. Please don’t insult the people or any religion in that matter. According to Mr. Bhat Congress ministers are mad people, I think Mr. Bhat has lost his mental balance who terrorizes the nation, and must be given treatment. Mr. Bhat stop at once sowing the seed of hatred among the youth who are the future of our nation.

Politician, Religious leaders and some educated personnel always misled the common citizen of our country for their political or personnel gains. I am not sure how many speakers have read and understood the draft of the bill. This doesn’t mean I endorse the bill. This bill does not pick on one particular religion. The definition group in the bill means " A RELIGIOUS OR LINGUISTIC MINORITY, IN A STATE IN THE UNION OF INDIA, OR SCHEDULED CASTES AND SCHEDULED TRIBES WITHIN THE MEANING OF CLAUSES (24) AND (25) OF ARTICLE 366 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA"
Some north east states of India where Christian have majority over Hindus, this bill goes against Christians. In Mumbai where Tulu\Konkani\kannada speaking from our DK & Udupi district are minority compared to Marathi speaking, it will protect them from future attacks from MNS\ Shiva Sena.
Any one want to know detail content of the bill please visit: http://nac.nic.in/pdf/pctvb.pdf.
The fundamental forces in Udupi & DK district indirectly supported by BJP who had spoiled the peace and brotherhood in these two district in the name safeguarding HINDU religion or so called moral policing definitely will not have free run once this bill is passed. THEREFORE THEY HAVE TO CONDUCT AS MANY AS POSSIBLE, SUCH PROTEST RALLIES AGAINST THIS BILL AND GIVE WRONG INFORMATION TO GENERAL PUBLIC AGAINT THE BILL, WHICH WILL CURTAIL THEIR HANDS.
THIS BILL WILL DEFINITELY A VOTE BANK GAINFOR SECULAR POLITICAL PARTIES. GOD BLESS KARNATAK

Hindus are the most tolerent religion on earth and it never attacked any other religion on first instance till now.Any attack so described against it was only a retaliatory action and natural. This very fact should enlighten the Hindu bashing forces who are playing in the hands of anti nationals.Yes only one incident of first time attack by hindus on minority Sikh community people in 1984 riot in Delhi streets after late PM Indiara Gandhi died at the hands of her security guards. The riot which was engineered and managed by Congress forces took away precious lives of more than 2600 sikhs in the country.Irony is that even after CBI enquiry it could not nail the culprits and accused were left scot free .The reaction for the said riot by late Rajiv Gandhi, then PM was that 'jab a bada ped girtha hai, dharthi hilthi hai'
Therefore all minority people in this country should understand that they are playing in the hands of dubious political parties they are supporting which has kept them all along now as backward in developments and using only as 'vote bank' to meet selfish ends.Inspite of what is happening in the developing India,if the minorities especially muslims do not understand at least now, their childrens will further suffer and remain backward, uneducated and languish in garages, bed makings units, chappal making units etc.,Hindus are never attack/against any other religion.

CASHING IN @ emotional issues by BJP and Sanghparivars. In the same vain UPA feeding them to go for perfect emotional black mail issue.BJP is breathing in such divide and rule issues and that's why it can not descend to South India. However, in South, Karnataka gave a golden chance and it is struggling to breath because of it's own follies.
