Bantwal, Nov 1: The need for a well-equipped sports complex is evident in the taluk to encourage athletic talent, and all representatives should make a coordinated effort towards this, stated Bantwal Municipal Council president Vasu Poojary. He presided over the Bantwal taluk-level Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations held on Friday at the taluk administration building in B C Road.
“All representatives should put politics aside and work actively, so we can bring positive news about the sports complex by the next Rajyotsava,” he said.
Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadyguthu participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony. Acting tahsildar Aravind K M, who hoisted the flag and delivered a message, emphasized that Kannada is more than a language; it is an emotion.
